Micah Vorwaller is the Deputy Chief Privacy Officer for the State of Utah and a Governor-appointed Commissioner on the Utah Privacy Commission. Micah plays a key role in shaping the legal strategy behind the state’s data privacy and digital identity ecosystem. He worked closely with the Legislature to help create the State Endorsed Digital Identity (SEDI) legislation—the nation’s first policy-driven framework establishing state-backed, individual-controlled verifiable identity—alongside the landmark Utah Government Data Privacy Act. His strategic approach draws on a rich legal background, combining experience as an Assistant Attorney General advising state agencies with private practice representing healthcare entities on complex privacy matters.
