Matt Charpentier, Head of Identity, JPMorgan Chase

As Head of Identity for JP Morgan Chase, Matt Charpentier leads the team in charge of designing, developing and delivering identity solutions that secure the bank and its customers. Matt and his team make sure that all good interactions go through, all fraud attacks are stopped, while ensuring the optimal customer experience. Matt’s team also helps solving one of the internet’s biggest needs: creating trusted interactions online. He joined JPMC in 2025. Before joining JPMC, Matt spent 8 years at Visa, most recently as Global Head of Authentication, Identity and Tap. Matt also spent 8 years at Capital One where he held various roles in the Bank and Card divisions. Matt holds a Master of Science (MS) in Civil Engineering from HEI in France, as well as an MBA from Columbia Business School. Matt lives in NYC with his wife and two kids.
