Marie Eichholtzer is a Senior Digital Specialist at the World Bank, in the Digital and AI Vice-Presidency, where she works in the Digital Public Infrastructure and Services team. Her work focuses on advancing country investments in digital public infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on digital identity, verifiable credentials, and trust services, and on supporting governments in the design and implementation of inclusive, interoperable, and sustainable digital ecosystems. She provides technical advisory support to client countries, develops operational guidance and tools, and engages with public and private stakeholders on questions of identity, credentials, and cross-border interoperability. Prior to joining the World Bank, Marie was manager at Deloitte Belgium, where she advised the European Commission on EU digital policy, digital identity, eGovernment, and data interoperability initiatives, with particular expertise on the eIDAS regulation.
