This session explores the role of trusted identity as a foundational layer of digital infrastructure for the AI era. While digital identity has enabled significant advances in online interactions, today’s ecosystem remains fragmented across platforms, services, and jurisdictions. At the same time, the rise of AI introduces new challenges around authenticity, accountability, and interoperability.To address these challenges, the session introduces a vision for enabling trusted interactions among people, organizations, AI agents, and digital services through Universal Wallet Infrastructure (UWI). Built on decentralized identity principles and verifiable credentials, UWI aims to empower individuals with greater control over their digital data while supporting secure, interoperable, and trusted exchanges across organizational and national boundaries.Drawing on emerging use cases in education, employment, finance, and mobility, the session will examine how trusted identity can serve as a cornerstone of AI-native digital infrastructure. It will also explore how the convergence of AI, digital identity, and trust technologies can unlock new forms of collaboration, innovation, and value creation.
