Archie L. Davis, Co-Founder & CEO, AXM Global

Archie Davis is the Co-Founder and CEO of AXM Technologies, where he’s building systems around authorship, consent, attribution, and ownership as AI starts reshaping how culture moves across the internet. His belief is pretty simple: the internet was never really built to understand where culture came from, who should be credited for it, or who should be paid when it spreads. That problem gets exponentially bigger once AI can generate, remix, imitate, and distribute creative work at scale. AXM was built in response to that shift. The company develops infrastructure that helps creators, estates, publishers, platforms, and institutions establish verifiable ownership and govern how intellectual property is used inside AI systems — from attribution and provenance to licensing, permissions, and programmable revenue flows. Before AXM, Davis spent years inside music and storytelling ecosystems, with roles at Interscope Records, RCA Records, and Def Jam Recordings, where he served as Chief Creative Officer. He later co-founded Proximity Media alongside Ryan Coogler, contributing to projects and campaigns that sat at the intersection of film, music, sports, and culture. Today, his work sits much closer to infrastructure, governance, and systems design than traditional entertainment. AXM’s work has been recognized by organizations including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and NVIDIA through its Inception program.   Davis believes authorship is becoming infrastructure. Not metaphorically. Literally. As AI becomes a larger participant in the global economy, questions around identity, consent, provenance, and ownership stop being creative-industry conversations and start becoming foundational internet problems. He sees AXM as part of the infrastructure layer that will eventually sit underneath that future.

Appearances:

Identity Week America - Day 1 @ 16:25

The authority to say yes: Why identity isn’t enough for AI

Identity tells us who someone is. As AI systems begin acting on governed information, the harder question is whether the requested action is authorized—and who has the authority to approve it. Drawing on cultural rights as a proof case, this presentation introduces machine authorization as the missing layer between identity, authorship, and accountable AI.
