Thomas Oliphant is an award-winning educator from the Adelaide Hills with over a decade of experience in advanced technologies education, renowned for his pioneering approach to innovative, future-focused learning. Holding a Bachelor of Industrial Design and a Master of Education, Thomas teaches at St Johns Grammar School, where he designs authentic, hands-on experiences that harness emerging technologies to cultivate creativity, independence, and skills for tomorrow’s world. His work in robotics, programming, digital design, and next-generation fields has earned him widespread recognition, including The Educator Hotlist (2021, 2022, 2024), VEX Robotics Australian Teacher of the Year (2021), EdTechSA Leading Light Award (2020), and finalist honors for South Australian STEMM Educator of the Year (2020, 2021). A passionate mentor to educators, Thomas is a contributor to Ed3 DAO, a non-profit dedicated to upskilling 1 million educators in cutting-edge technologies through research-based practices.
