Tim Barrett is the Head of St Andrew’s Institute of Learning (SAIL), a dynamic research and innovation hub embedded within St Andrew’s Anglican College near Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. Tim is a respected thought leader and practitioner with a passion for developing the personal capacity of staff and students by preparing them with the skills needed to thrive in the future. His work with SAIL drives collective efficacy and substantially impacts educational discourse locally and globally. 

His current role includes oversight of research, consultancy, personal capacity building, global partnerships, and cultural intelligence (CQ) testing and training. The collaborative efforts of St Andrew's and SAIL teams have earned numerous industry accolades, including the Best Co-Curricular Program awards in 2019 and 2020 and the title of Secondary School of the Year (Non-Government) in 2024 at the prestigious Australian Education Awards. www.educatorawards.com

Recent projects include the creation of the Personal Capacity Transcript, a learner profile for all Secondary students and an online course offering a micro-credential in cultural intelligence (CQ) to help individuals effectively navigate culturally diverse environments. A lifelong learner, Tim holds degrees in Physical Education and Theology, alongside credentials in governance and advanced cultural intelligence training. He enjoys bringing a diverse and innovative perspective that adds value to leadership teams.
