Tegan is a devoted Reading Leader and Primary Teacher from Coomera Anglican College on the Gold Coast. She is passionate about achieving high-quality outcomes and is particularly interested in promoting excellence in teaching literacy by employing evidence-based practices. Tegan emphasises building meaningful connections with students to support their mental health and foster a love for learning. She takes pride in creating engaging and tailored learning experiences that recognise and nurture each student's unique abilities. Tegan earned a Bachelor's degree in Primary Education (First Class Honours), conducting research on early childhood oral language development and school entry assessments. Her thesis titled "Exploring the Role of Storytelling in Assessing Semantic Usage in QLD Preparatory Students”.
