Sharon Lehman, Educational Technology Professional, Consultant

Sharon has worked in the vocational education sector for over twenty years, as a teacher, instructional designer, learning technologist, capability development partner, and educational technology lead. Her passion is building cool online educational experiences to engage, educate & inspire both staff & students. Developing and delivering staff training focused on integrating existing, but also emerging technology into vocational delivery has been the core focus for Sharon, especially over the last five years. The challenges and opportunities for innovation and growth in this space, given the pandemic and Generative AI, have made the field of learning technologies even more essential and exciting. Gamification and it's applications for vocational education is a pet topic of interest for Sharon that was central throughout her recently completed Masters in Education (Digital Technologies) from Charles Sturt University.  Sharon also has extensive experience in the conservation, sustainability and environmental education field, something she hopes to spend more time fostering in 2025 and beyond. Working both as a Ranger for National Parks and Wildlife Service for ten years and forming an environmental education business, Hands on Nature, she was also responsible for developing and launching a number of local community sustainability initiatives including the Clarence Valley Conservation in Action (CIA) Landcare group, tackling invasive animal control, and ResourceXchange, matching usable waste products with people who can reuse them. Sharon is known for delivering engaging and amusing presentations, so don't miss out!
