Lisa van Beeck, Research Fellow | Project Director Australian STEM Video Game Challenge, Australian Council for Educational Research

Lisa is a Research Fellow at the Australian Council for Educational Research specialising in assessment and reporting in the primary years. She works across curriculum areas focusing primarily on content in mathematics and digital technology. Lisa's core work is in test development, curriculum review, standard setting, measurement instruments and development of teacher resources.
Lisa is also the Project Director of the Australian STEM Video Game Challenge (STEM VGC). The STEM VGC is a free challenge for Australian students in years 3 to 12 which is designed to engage more students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) content. In particular, the STEM VGC aims to engage more girls, low SES, regional and rural students.
Lisa has nine years experience as a classroom teacher, in Melbourne and New York. She is an advocate for learning through play and passionate about engaging students in STEM activities.
