Julie Taylor, Senior Education Officer, TAFE NSW

I am a passionate educator dedicated to enhancing the learner experience through technology. With the rapid innovations in the generative AI space, I am fascinated by the potential for engaging hybrid delivery methods that ignite a passion for learning. In my current role as a Senior Education Officer in Educational Excellence at TAFE NSW, I focus on driving educational initiatives. My experience includes serving as a Project Manager and Learning Technologist in Technology 4 Learning, as well as a Capability Business Partner at the Institute of Applied Technology. I also contribute to the Paid to Learn program, which develops teachers within the TAFE NSW workforce. I am proud to be a co-author of the award-winning textbook, The Essential Guide to Fitness for Fitness Instructors. Previously, I lectured in Human Movement Studies at UTS and the Australian College of Physical Education, and I worked as an instructional designer for learning platforms in both Australia and the USA. Having spent two ski seasons in Canada, I was married and welcomed my first child in Los Angeles, but I will always call Sydney my home.
