Greg Bass is an experienced educator and current Principal at Earlwood Public School. With over 20 years in education, Greg has held leadership positions across a variety of school environments, including as an Executive Principal at a Connected Communities school. His career has spanned high-achieving institutions, schools with large support units, and one of New South Wales' lowest socio-economic schools. A key strength in Greg’s leadership is his ability to create and cultivate collaborative teams of students, staff, and community members. He encourages a culture of inquiry and critical thinking, motivating everyone to continuously strive for improvement. Greg's approach is built around fostering a shared commitment to growth, both personally and collectively. Technology plays a significant role in Greg's leadership philosophy. He has successfully integrated cutting-edge technology into his schools, notably leading a 1:1 device program at a school with over 1,800 students, which earned recognition as an Apple Distinguished School. His innovative use of technology also extends to professional development, where he has mentored teachers to incorporate virtual reality lessons into trauma-informed pedagogies, enriching the learning experience for students.   • Improved Retention Through Active Participation: Active involvement in immersive learning environments promotes better knowledge retention, as students are more likely to remember and apply what they've learned.
