David Bugden is the eLearning and Technology Integration Lead at Aspect Autism Australia, where he drives the innovative and effective use of digital technology across schools. Passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences, he works closely with staff and students to embed technology in ways that empower learners to explore their strengths, develop key skills, and engage deeply with their education. David has led the development of STEM Champions, an Aspect STEM extension program that extends and challenges students with strengths and interests in STEM. The program offers hands-on, constructivist learning through physical computing and digital collaboration. Students apply their skills to real-world challenges, building problem-solving, creativity, and computational thinking. STEM Champions is delivered through a blended model, allowing students from different Aspect schools to connect, collaborate, and engage in STEM learning online.
