Sheena Tiong, Senior Lecturer, Universiti Malaya

Dr. Sheena Tiong is a neuroscientist whose work bridges neuroscience, education and emerging technologies. Her current research explores how the science of learning, from attention and neuroplasticity to emotion and behaviour change, can inform more effective physical and digital learning environments. Her current interests span youth cognition and digital wellbeing, emerging technologies, and neuroscience-informed cybergogy, with a focus on how our increasingly digital world shapes the way young people learn, behave and thrive. She advocates for a human-centred approach to educational technology: designing learning experiences around how people actually learn and develop sustainable learning behaviours.
