After earning my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston, I seized a thrilling opportunity to move to Madrid, where my then-girlfriend (now spouse) was teaching at an international school. This adventure sparked my passion for education, leading me to earn a Master's Degree in Secondary Education and obtain my teaching certification while working as an assistant teacher at the American School of Madrid. Our journey then took us to Cairo, Egypt, where I taught Secondary Humanities and Physical Education at Hayah International Academy. Eager to develop as an IB educator, we moved to Southeast Asia and joined Bandung Independent School (BIS). Over the past 13 years at BIS, I’ve worn many hats, including teaching DP Economics and MYP Design Technologies, and serving as Information and Learning Technologies Coordinator for the last nine years. In this role, I’ve driven significant advancements in our school’s digital technology integration and policy development. Recently, I’ve embraced an exciting new challenge as Activities and Athletics Director, allowing me to further enrich our vibrant school community. My career is driven by a passion for growth and innovation in education, and I’m excited about what the future holds in my new role.
