Rhea Luz R. Valbuena is Executive Director of the School of Computing and Information Technologies at Asia Pacific College, an institution nationally recognized for excellence in information technology education. With nearly three decades of experience across higher education, government, and industry collaboration, she leads initiatives that integrate AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, analytics, Project-Based Learning, and industry microcredentials into technology education. She also serves as Vice President for Programs and Projects of the Women in Tech Council of the ASEAN CXO Association and as an Executive Committee Member of the AI & Emerging Technologies Chapter of the Philippines CIO Association. An international speaker and technology education leader, Rhea's work focuses on generative and agentic AI, data analytics, digital leadership, workforce transformation, responsible AI, and future skills. She believes technology's greatest value lies in its ability to elevate human potential and empower people to adapt, innovate, and thrive. As a speaker at EDUtech Asia 2026, Rhea-Luz will share practical insights on leveraging emerging technologies to inspire and empower learners while transforming the educational experience.
