Jyoti Arora | Principal
Mount Abu Public School

Jyoti Arora, Principal, Mount Abu Public School

Across classrooms, national policy tables and inter-governmental forums, Dr. Jyoti Arora’s journey has moved beyond institutional leadership into shaping educational thought, systems and global dialogue. Recipient of the National Award to Teachers 2020, Government of India, and the CBSE National Teachers Award 2013, she has served three terms as an elected member of the CBSE Governing Body, contributing to curriculum, pedagogy, academic frameworks and the wider discourse on school education. Her work has simultaneously placed her within a wider global discourse on education. Dr. Arora has represented Indian school education across Taiwan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Italy, China, Seychelles, the United Kingdom, Japan and beyond, engaging with ministries, universities, education authorities and school systems. Recognised as an “Indonesianist” by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Indonesia, she has served twice as an International Observer in Uzbekistan and contributed to international educational dialogues, including at UNESCO platforms. As President of Indraprastha Schools Sahodaya and Founder of Delhi Sahodaya Schools Complex, she has consistently brought educators and school leaders into meaningful professional dialogue. She is also an active contributor to Pan-India forums as Executive Member, Action Committee of Unaided Recognised Private Schools; Co-Chair (Delhi), ARISE; and Member, NPSC, among other organisations. She is curator of Delhi’s only school-based TEDx platform in the Community Plus tier, creating a sustained platform for ideas that extend beyond classrooms into society. As torchbearer of the Mount Abu Group of Institutions, she translates global perspectives into educational practice across North Indian states. Her journey reflects a form of leadership whose significance is measured by its contribution to the conversations, institutions and decisions that shape global education itself.
