Oscar Yustino Carascalao serves as the Head of School at IB DP Pradita Dirgantara, where he leads the implementation and ongoing development of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. In this role, he works closely with teachers and academic teams to align teaching and learning with IB standards and philosophy, while fostering a culture of collaboration and reflective practice within the school community. His journey in IB education has been shaped by both leadership experience and continuous professional learning. He has completed several IB professional development programmes, including the Head of School workshop, Leading the Learning, IB Authorization Training (Consultant, School Visit Team Leader, and School Visit Team Member), as well as Facilitation and Workshop Leader Training. These experiences have contributed to his understanding of programme requirements, school evaluation processes, and the importance of sustaining high-quality IB practices. Oscar has also been involved in international collaborations with partner schools in Singapore, Japan, and Australia. Through these partnerships, he has supported joint initiatives such as social service projects focused on literacy development and collaborative science experiments addressing climate change. These experiences have enriched student learning by promoting intercultural understanding, global perspectives, and meaningful real-world engagement. As an educational leader, Oscar remains committed to lifelong learning and to supporting the growth of both educators and students.
