Coreen Siah graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Master in Education (Merit) and from Salus University with a Degree in Optometry and a Master in Clinical Optometry. She also holds the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA). Coreen has served three years as the Senior Manager of the Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) Optometry Centre. She is a Senior Lecturer for the Diploma in Optometry at NP, bringing with her 15 years of experience as an educator. She spent ten years working in the optometry industry before her teaching career. Coreen's commitment to continuous learning and professional development is evident in her active training to enhance her skills as a mentor for fellow educators. She is currently undertaking the Teaching and Learning Mentor Move-In Programme (TLMP), a programme jointly designed and facilitated by the five polytechnics with the Joint Polytechnic Academy for Educators (JP-AcE) for T&L Mentors. Her other areas of interest include special needs education, universal design for learning, competency-based assessments, and inclusive education.
