Brian James Thomas, NPQH
Brian James Thomas is an educator and EdTech designer building AI tools and programs for schools across China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. As AI Implementation Lead at Novalearn in Hong Kong, he designs classroom and administrative features for the AI teaching tool AI Mentor. He also writes and designs programs for Nova Academy, the company's co-curricular arm, where he trains teachers and leads hiring. Brian brings over twelve years of teaching and leadership in international and bilingual schools, including roles as Head of Early Years Section and Head of Grade. He recently completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) at University College London. Earlier in his career, he led a team of writers creating Lexile-leveled reading passages and authored more than 50 illustrated, leveled readers. His work is guided by one question: where should the human sit in every AI decision a school makes?
