Troy Tambay, PE, is Vice President and North America Market Director for Mass Transit at COWI, a globally respected engineering firm headquartered in Copenhagen, and renowned for its technical excellence and innovation in complex infrastructure.  Based in Los Angeles and a native of California, Mr. Tambay brings over 30 years of industry expertise and is widely recognized as a leader in the planning, procurement, and execution of complex, large-scale infrastructure programs. His career spans North America to Southeast Asia, where he has played a key role in delivering transformative transit systems. He has been instrumental in some of the most ambitious transportation initiatives in recent history. Notably, he played a critical role in the California High-Speed Rail program, one of the largest and most complex transportation efforts underway in the United States. Mr. Tambay is widely regarded for his expertise in alternative delivery methods, integrated design and construction management, and navigating multi-jurisdictional, politically sensitive environments. In his role at COWI, he is spearheading the firm’s expansion in the North American rail and transit market—strengthening its position as a trusted partner to both public agencies and private stakeholders.
