Mr Josefino Santiago is presently a Senior Advisor for Systems Maintenance at RATP Dev Manila providing technical support to the concessionaire of the LRT1 system. He has more than 40 years of experience in engineering, operations and maintenance works within the mass railway transit system in the Philippines and abroad. After achieving the board licensure examination for electrical engineers in 1984, he was employed to handle the maintenance work on government’s light rail system. Throughout his career, he managed several maintenance contracts handling various disciplines of the railway system in power distribution, signaling and telecommunication, automated fare collection System and repair of electronic components of the rolling stock. He worked in Dubai from 2008 to 2012 as MEP Manager where his railway experience was further enhanced during testing and commissioning, formal handover, and operation of the Dubai Metro System. Josefino Santiago received a formal training in railway operation and maintenance, among them, Railway Electrification, Planning and Management conducted in Japan in 1995.
