Walid Abdelwahab is a Research Associate Professor at the University of Montana’s Center for Translational Medicine (CTM), where he leads the formulations group. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry and extensive experience in vaccine development and pharmaceutical research, he focuses on translating scientific discoveries into practical vaccine solutions. His work advances innovative vaccine designs, including the use of safe and effective adjuvants and novel delivery and targeting systems. He has expertise in nanotechnology-enabled drug delivery, analytical method development, pharmaceutical chemistry, vaccine R&D, and process development and technology transfer. Walid also contributes to immunotherapy research, leveraging immune-modulating technologies to develop treatments for cancer and autoimmune diseases. Passionate about global health, he collaborates with academic and industry partners to accelerate impactful vaccine innovation. As a speaker at World Vaccine Congress Washington 2026, he brings insight into the evolving vaccine delivery R&D landscape and strategic global partnerships.
