Entry to the United States
To help you prepare for your entry into the United States, we want to provide some guidance regarding the questions you may be asked by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers. Please be aware that these questions can cover a range of topics, including the purpose of your visit.
We recommend the following:
-
Please ensure your responses are consistently truthful, clear, and respectful.
-
It is advisable to focus on the purpose of your visit. For example, if asked about your views on the U.S. government, you may state that you are in the U.S. to participate in the World Vaccine Congress Washington as a speaker, where you will be sharing your expertise.
-
While you are welcome to express your professional opinions, we suggest avoiding strong personal political statements, especially those that could be perceived as critical of the U.S. government, as this could potentially lead to unnecessary complications.
-
Maintain a polite and courteous demeanor throughout the questioning process.
Please note
: Providing false or misleading information to a CBP officer can have serious legal consequences, including denial of entry into the United States.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to your participation in
World Vaccine Congress Washington 2026

Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA)
ESTA is an automated system that determines the eligibility of visitors to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Authorization via ESTA does not determine whether a traveler is admissible to the United States. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers determine admissibility upon travelers’ arrival. The ESTA application collects biographic information and answers to VWP eligibility questions. ESTA applications may be submitted at any time prior to travel, though it is recommended that travelers apply as soon as they begin preparing travel plans or prior to purchasing airline tickets.
