Linda Chilin | Research Scientist

Linda D. Chilin is an accomplished research scientist with expertise in translational diagnostics, infectious disease research, and therapeutic development. She is an Associate Research Scientist at Athari BioSciences, where she leads CLIA validation studies and contributes to cancer drug development initiatives. In addition to her research role, Linda mentors emerging scientists through Athari Bio’s Internship Summer Program, supporting workforce development in STEMM fields.
Linda is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Biosciences at George Mason University, with research focused on infectious diseases and cancer biology. She is a co-developer of the Ha-CoV-2 Neutralization Assay Platform, a hybrid alphavirus–SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirion system that enables rapid assessment of viral infectivity and neutralizing antibody responses. This platform is actively used at Athari BioSciences for SARS-CoV-2 diagnostics and research. Her work includes co-authorship on multiple peer-reviewed publications spanning HIV, COVID-19, and antiviral discovery.
Previously, Linda served as Lab Manager for the Center for Infectious Disease Research at George Mason University, overseeing laboratory operations, biosafety compliance, and trainee instruction. She holds a B.S. in Global and Community Health and an M.S. in Biology and is fluent in English and Spanish.
