Alejandro Cane, SVP, Head of Medical, Vaccines, Pfizer

Ale has extensive experience as a Medical Affairs leader within Pfizer, originally joining via Wyeth in 2007 as the Southern Cone Vaccines Medical & Scientific Affairs Head. From there, Ale has served increasingly broader roles, including as the Medical & Scientific Affairs Head for Latin America and Emerging Markets, before becoming the North America Vaccines & Antivirals Medical & Scientific Affairs Lead. In this role, he led CDC and FDA interactions during the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting the approvals, recommendations and implementation of both COMIRNATY® and PAXLOVID™. He has since served as the Medical & Scientific Affairs Global Lead for Influenza, as well as the Lead for U.S. & IDM Vaccines & Antivirals.
