Rebecca Fish has over 30 years of senior leadership experience in the health sector, with a particular focus on vaccines and biodefense. She served as Senior Vaccine Policy Advisor to the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she co-authored the U.S. Adult Vaccine Plan. Rebecca also led the public sector vaccine business for both Merck and GSK, working closely with the CDC—the largest vaccine customer in the world. Currently a Professor of the Practice at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Rebecca directs a healthcare program emphasizing interdisciplinary education and collaboration across public and private sectors. She is a contributing author to Preparing for Pandemics in the Modern World (2020), and her research explores strategies to leverage private-sector strengths to improve health outcomes. Rebecca holds an M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where she served on the Health Care Advisory Board. She also completed a Fellowship in Biosecurity at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security.
