Keira Cohen, MD, is an Executive Medical Director in Communicable Diseases at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed both Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Following training, she was an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. A physician scientist, in her academic career she specialized in bacterial genomics, mechanisms of drug resistance, chronic lung infections and the care of critically ill patients. Since joining Johnson & Johnson in 2022, among other responsibilities she has worked as a Clinical Lead on the ExPEC9V vaccine program.
