Kristin Archibald is the founder and president of NKH Crusaders, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research and support for Nonketotic Hyperglycinemia (NKH). Motivated by her son Thomas's diagnosis with a variant form of NKH, Kristin established NKH Crusaders in 2010 to address the lack of research and resources for this rare metabolic disorder. Under her leadership, the organization has raised over $1 million, contributing to NKH research at major universities in the U.S. and U.K. In 2022, NKH Crusaders launched the first U.S. NKH Patient Registry to prepare for upcoming clinical trials. In 2024 NKH Crusaders was awarded the Chan Zuckerberg Rare as One Grant to continue to grow NKH Crusaders and become a stronger advocay organization for families impacted by NKH and other rare diseases. Beyond her advocacy work, Kristin works in Real-World Solutions at IQIVA, an S&P 500 company with global operations in over 100 countries. She resides near Boston, Massachusetts, with her husband Bill, their three sons, Paul, Ryan, and Thomas, and their dog, Dakota.
