Jessica Scott, Chief Executive Officer, Legacy Health Strategies

As CEO of Legacy Health Strategies, Jessica combines medical and legal expertise with innovative thinking to drive transformative change in healthcare, focusing on integrating patient perspectives to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. After graduating from Tufts University School of Medicine and completing her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Virginia in Roanoke, she practiced medicine for over a decade before attending Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, and the North Carolina Physician Leadership Program. During this time, she developed the innovative Integrated Accountability & Collaborative Transparency (IACT) Program, applying Collaborative Law principles to improve disclosure and patient safety in healthcare. Jessica brings deep pharmaceutical industry experience as a leader in the field of Patient Engagement over the last decade. She served as an ambassador representing the industry on medical policy issues at a global level. As Director of North America Medical Policy and Advocacy at GlaxoSmithKline, she shaped external policy regarding the Plain Language Clinical Trial Summaries and established new internal capabilities for public dissemination. Through subsequent leadership positions at both GSK and Takeda, she has demonstrated success in shifting the mindset from developing medicines for patients to developing medicines with patients, bringing innovative solutions and patient-centered approaches to biotech, med-tech, and pharmaceutical industries. Jessica has received awards for innovative and impactful work in Patient Engagement, including the Trail Blazer Award and PharmaVoice100 as one of the top 100 most inspiring leaders in the industry. Jessica is actively involved as a member of the Strategic Advisory Board to Bioethics International, Patient-Focused Medicines Development, DIA Patient Advisory Council and remains licensed to practice law in North Carolina. Jessica is married and has three children
