Miramoon Pharma is a biotechnology company developing first-in-class neuroprotective therapies for rare diseases. Leveraging a proprietary platform of small molecules targeting disrupted intracellular calcium homeostasis, the company is advancing innovative treatments across ophthalmology, CNS, and skeletal muscle/cardiac indications.

Its lead program, MP-004, is a first-in-class topical therapy for retinitis pigmentosa and other inherited retinal disorders. Designed to cross the blood-retinal barrier and efficiently reach photoreceptors, MP-004 has demonstrated robust neuroprotective activity in preclinical models, preserving retinal cell survival and maintaining 50–70% of photoreceptor function (IOVS, 2025).

MP-004 has received both FDA and EMA Orphan Drug Designation and has successfully completed preclinical development with no observed toxicity or tissue accumulation. Miramoon Pharma is preparing to initiate Phase I clinical trials in Q1 2027 to delay disease progression and preserve vision in patients affected by inherited retinal degenerative diseases.
