Jawwad Zaki is an independent Strategic Advisor focused on AI Governance and Telecom Transformation, helping operators modernise legacy systems while building responsible AI capabilities aligned with emerging standards such as the EU AI Act and ISO/IEC 42001.

He brings over 28 years of telecom experience across Pakistan, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, including a 13-year tenure at Telenor, where he most recently served as IT Director – Group Technology in Singapore. In that role, he advised Telenor Asia’s operating companies on technology strategy, performance, and responsible AI adoption. He also led IT portfolio management, governance, and performance frameworks across Telenor’s Asian markets.

Prior to Telenor, Jawwad held leadership roles at Nokia , Nokia Siemens Networks, Etisalat, Ufone, and Alcatel, leading network transformation, managed services, planning, and optimisation projects across multiple markets.

He is a certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer, PMP-certified project professional, and an INSEAD-trained strategy executive with a strong track record in telecom transformation, operational governance, and AI strategy.
