Gurtaj Singh Padda is Executive Director and CEO of Tune Talk, Asia's first cloud-native telco. A co-founder and now majority shareholder, he returned to lead the company in November 2024 following a strategic acquisition that increased his stake to over 37%. His return marked a pivotal shift for Tune Talk, positioning it to evolve into a fully independent, innovation-driven telecom player.

With over 28 years of global experience in the telecommunications industry, Gurtaj has held leadership roles at Lucent Technologies, Nokia, and Tata Communications. At Tune Talk, he is widely credited as the architect of the original business model and is known for launching industry-first innovations such as numberless SIM cards and flexible number management for users.

Under his renewed leadership, Tune Talk is undergoing full digital transformation—migrating to a 100% cloud-native infrastructure and pursuing ambitions to become a full-fledged mobile network operator (MNO). His strategic priorities include regional expansion across ASEAN, delivering richer in-app experiences (streaming, gaming, auto-renewals), and putting customer experience at the heart of every move.

Gurtaj holds a BE in Electrical and Electronics from Manipal Institute of Technology and a master’s certificate in Project Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.
