Ayoma Wickramaarachchi is Deputy General Manager, Broadband at Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), where he is responsible for the development and management of the company’s broadband product portfolio. His role includes defining product roadmaps, bringing new products and services to market, and developing business models with technology and service partners.
With more than 18 years at Sri Lanka Telecom, Ayoma brings experience spanning broadband product development, IT strategy, application architecture, systems integration, and software engineering. Prior to his current role, he worked in IT Strategy and Application Planning, where he planned and designed SLT’s application and information architecture in alignment with the company’s business, IT, and network strategies. His work covered industry frameworks and standards including TM Forum, TOGAF, 3GPP, ETSI, and ITIL, as well as technical evaluation and technology planning.
Earlier in his career at SLT, Ayoma spent more than eight years in system development and integration, working across enterprise platforms including billing, mediation, operations support systems, customer relationship management, value-added services, and automated provisioning. He was also involved in service-oriented architecture implementation, information security and quality management initiatives, and the development and integration of internal software systems.
Before joining Sri Lanka Telecom, Ayoma worked as a Software Engineer at Eutech Cybernetic, developing Linux-based software solutions and real-time systems.
Ayoma holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management and a BSc (Hons) in Computer Engineering from the University of Peradeniya. His expertise spans broadband product strategy, digital and IT architecture, product development, systems integration, business analysis, and telecommunications technology.
