Peter is the CIO of Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council (QPRC), where he also serves as the organisation’s CISO. Under his stewardship, technology has been a key enabler of QPRC’s transformation, contributing to Council’s recognition with the prestigious A.R. Bluett Memorial Award in 2020. Peter currently chairs the IT Leadership Group for the Canberra Region Joint Organisation (CRJO), fostering collaboration and providing strategic direction across 10 member councils. He holds a Master’s in Information Technology Management and globally recognised credentials in information security and governance, including CISSP, CISM, and CISA. He is en route to joining the elite ranks of IRAP Assessors. Before joining QPRC in 2017, Peter founded and led an award-winning technology consulting firm in New Zealand, delivering innovative solutions to a diverse range of clients.
