Mitchell Burger is a senior leader in the public health sector with extensive experience across federal, state, and local government organisations, covering acute, primary, community, and virtual health services. Currently, he serves as the Chief Insights Officer at Healthdirect Australia, overseeing data analytics, privacy, data governance, research, and evaluation. Previously, he was the Director of Strategy, Architecture, Innovation and Research at Sydney Local Health District. Mitchell has also been an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Informatics and Digital Health at the University of Sydney, and a Scientia PhD candidate at UNSW Sydney, focusing on researching the safe and equitable implementation of artificial intelligence in public health. He holds a Master of Public Health from UNSW Sydney.
