Janice Law is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Services Australia. In this role, Janice is the principal and authoritative source of cyber security leadership and advice including to govern, protect, detect, and respond to cyber security threats on behalf of the agency. As an agency General Manager, Janice leads her division to develop, maintain and implement cyber security policy, programs and awareness that maintains the security of Services Australia operations, as well as the agency’s Shared Services Partners such as DSS, DVA and NDIA. As the CISO, Janice is responsible for assuring cyber security for Services Australia.
Prior to joining Services Australia, Janice contributed to the Department of Defence’s significant information and communications technology (ICT) reform journey, including the holding of pivotal management roles in key infrastructure transformation projects including the Terrestrial Communications project (Joint Project 2047 Phase 3), and Centralised Processing project. These projects have been two of Australian federal Government’s largest ICT outsourcing initiatives to date, and Janice’s contribution was acknowledged through award of an Australia Day Medallion in 2013.
