Dr Stephen Chu is a practicing Clinical Informaticist who leads a number of international ehealth standards projects including Health Level 7 (HL7) Allergy/Intolerance, Adverse Reaction, Care Plan, Health Concern and Referral FHIR (Fast Health Interoperable Resources) development. He also has extensive clinical experiences in a variety of clinical domains including orthopaedics, general medicine and emergency medicine. He is a co-chair of HL7 Patient Workgroup since 2010 and is one of the international experts in the IHE (Integrating Healthcare Enterprise) and HL7 Pharmacy Workgroups; and the chief clinical informatician in Australia. He had previously served in professorial positions in the Multi-Media University of Malaysia, University of Auckland and also La Trobe University of Australia.
