Brian McCarson, Corporate Vice President and GM of Data Center Solutions Business Unit, Microchip Technology

Brian McCarson is a seasoned technology executive with nearly 30 years of industry experience, currently serving as a Corporate Vice President at Microchip Technology, where he leads the Data Center Solutions Business Unit. His background includes more than two decades at Intel Corporation as Vice President and General Manager, where he led high‑growth businesses within the Networking and Edge Group, the Next Unit of Compute (NUC) Group, served as CTO of IoT Strategy and led global systems engineering and architecture teams focused on industrial automation, AI and edge computing. McCarson has also held senior leadership roles at Packsize International as Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, overseeing global R&D, product, quality and reliability and IT and security teams. He holds a Master of Science in Materials Science and Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
