Yannick Baumgarten | Business Segment and Project Lead for Biointelligent Manufacturing

Yannick Baumgarten holds a Master of Science in Technology Management from the University of Stuttgart. After graduation, he joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA) in Stuttgart, where he focuses on biointelligent manufacturing, laboratory automation and sustainable value creation systems. As a member of the Competence Centre Biointelligence and Secretary of the European ManuFUTURE subplatform on Biointelligent Manufacturing, Yannick plays a key role in bringing together stakeholders in Europe to advance the integration and interaction of biology, technology and informatics.
He leads several large-scale projects and is interested in developing technologies for advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMP), novel foods, process analytical technologies (PAT), biosensors, process monitoring and control, biotech space applications, sustainability and techno-economic analysis. Yannick is passionate about transferring innovative technologies from academia to industry, driving the biological transformation of industry and developing bio-intelligent solutions for a sustainable future.
