Shayesteh co-founded and headed up an award-winning and renowned multi-disciplinary Life Science consulting company as well as two pharma companies, leading its substantial growth and successful sale to a global CRO. She was responsible for the strategic direction of the company, business development, and human resources, while also acting as a senior advisor for clients and cross-functional teams. The company was awarded Best Employer three times by Great Place To Work in Switzerland. Shayesteh has extensive knowledge and experience in building purposeful and commercially successful global companies from scratch. She is a recognized expert in healthcare product development and life cycle management. Using her solid knowledge and strong analytical & strategic thinking, she provides and implements corporate strategies in accordance with business goals. Shayesteh is President of the Board of Directors of two associations, namely the Rare Disease Action Forum (RDAF) focusing on improving access to diagnosis and treatment for patients with rare diseases in Switzerland and the Medtech & Pharma Platform (MPP) focusing on the intersection of drugs with devices, digital health and diagnostics. She is a senior advisor to, Digital Health, SPARK, and VentureLab, as well as a lecturer at the GMPD Academy. Shayesteh has an MBA from the Open University Business School, Milton Keynes, UK, and a Master of Science in Microbiology from the University of Vienna, Austria. She is a Global Fellow in Medicines Development and a frequently invited speaker.
