Matilda is a pharmaceutical professional with 15 years of experience bridging academia and biopharma industry. She currently serves as a Strategy Director at Novartis, where she leads strategic initiatives across clinical development – operating at the intersection of clinical strategy, digital transformation and organizational change. Previously, Matilda worked as a management consultant, advising both biotech and large pharma companies on portfolio strategy, asset development planning and change management. Matilda holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and the University of Heidelberg, Germany, with a focus on genomics and RNA biology. Outside of her professional work, she is passionate about mentoring young women in STEM, and finding both balance and challenge while mountaineering in the Alps.
