Dr Hector Zenil is a computer scientist and complexity researcher known for his work in algorithmic information theory and the foundations of computation. He holds dual PhDs in Logic and Epistemology and in Computer Science and Mathematics, and has held research positions at institutions including the University of Oxford, the Karolinska Institute, the Alan Turing Institute, the University of Cambridge, and King’s College London (KCL) as Associate Professor. He is the founder of the Algorithmic Dynamics Lab and Oxford Immune Algorithmics, the creators of Algocyte. Algocyte is an end-to-end health platform combining a portable blood-testing device with an AI-driven cloud system to enable early disease detection and continuous monitoring. It uses rapid, at-home blood data, enriched with contextual and longitudinal information, to generate predictive insights, support early intervention, and guide personalised healthcare decisions.
