Ecem Badruk, Bioengineer with expertise in Space Biotechnology and Strategic Business Development specializes in working at the cutting-edge frontier of Space Biotechnology, specifically in the development and strategic positioning of biological research platforms in a microgravity environment. Her main area of concentration lies in how the conditions of altered gravity can be utilized for the advancement of tissue engineering, organoids, as well as in vitro biological modeling.
Her work in the biological modeling field, leads strategic business development initiatives in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, which include the development of a scalable business model from biological research conducted in a space environment. This includes working with automation in a microgravity environment, as well as the development of autonomous biological experimentation and the transition from astronaut-based biological experimentation towards a more industrialized approach to biomanufacturing in space.
