Ted Corl is the Founder and President of AminoCloud, a cloud-native laboratory resource system built for independent clinical diagnostic labs. Ted's path started at the bench in the R&D department at GENETWORx, where he conducted assay validations, wrote SOPs and study documentation, and helped bring multiple SARS-CoV-2 production lines online at the height of the pandemic. Later, he moved into an academic setting where he studied MEMO1, a protein associated with aggressive forms of breast cancer. Just prior to AminoCloud, Ted was a member of Pfizer's Vaccine Research & Development team, where he led NGS library preparation automation and supported transcriptomic and single cell technologies for early stage pipeline prospects. That path across clinical diagnostics, academic research, and pharma convinced him the biggest bottleneck in science isn't the science itself, it's the software labs are forced to run on. Ted left the bench to build the infrastructure he wished existed: a platform fast enough to match the pace of the work. Whether it's agricultural research or oncology diagnostics, Ted believes science should move at the speed of its ambition, and that starts with the data foundation underneath it.
