Shoeleh Assemi, PhD, is the Founder and CEO of Imessa Research Inc. She holds degrees in chemistry, environmental radiochemistry, separation science, and analytical chemistry, and has more than 25 years of experience in nanoparticle separation and characterization. Her work has focused on developing practical analytical approaches for complex particle systems. She founded Imessa Research to develop technologies that make advanced nanoparticle characterization simpler, more automated, and more accessible to R&D and QC laboratories.
Nanomedicines are becoming increasingly complex, but understanding a heterogeneous nanoparticle sample requires more than reporting a single size or distribution. Scientists need to resolve different particle populations, characterize them, and sometimes physically collect them for further analysis. Separation-based techniques can provide this information, but their complexity has limited routine use. Nanosyze™ integrates separation, sizing, and fraction collection into an automated, simplified workflow designed to make deeper nanoparticle characterization practical for everyday R&D and, ultimately, QC laboratories.
