Miu-Ling Lau is Director of Analytical Informatics in Merck’s Manufacturing Division, where she leads a team supporting regulatory submissions and providing data trending, visualization, analysis and reporting for pre- and post-approval products. She is the business owner of Merck’s research laboratory information management system (LIMS). Miu-Ling has led multiple cross-functional initiatives, including the development and deployment of Data Management & Reporting systems, LIMS. Her team develops and maintains a broad portfolio of data visualization and trending tools that work across LIMS and other data sources to support scientific data exploration, routine monitoring and investigations. Prior to Merck, Miu-Ling worked at BOC Gases performing drug characterization and development of novel adsorbents. She holds a Master of Science degree in Chemistry with a minor in Business Administration. Miu-Ling serves on the Board of Directors of the Allotrope Foundation and is active in industry working groups, including the IQ Consortium’s Next Gen Data Capture working group and the Enabling Technology Consortium’s Data Curation Workbench efforts.
