Dia Barakat is the Director of Laboratory Services at Riverview Health. He holds an MBA in Healthcare Management and is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. With over 24 years of experience in healthcare, Dia is dedicated to reducing costs, eliminating waste, and enhancing operational efficiency by developing emotionally intelligent, high-performing teams. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Indiana HFMA and actively contributes to the education committees of both the Indiana and Tri-State HFMA chapters. Dia’s passion is to build a stronger, more efficient U.S. healthcare system by empowering physicians and clinical staff to understand and engage with financial strategy—bridging the gap between clinical operations and finance to drive sustainable, value-based transformation.
