As strategic lead for the Ayrshire 5G Innovation Region (5GIR), she has played a central role in delivering impactful partnerships with industry, academics and government. With a strong background in digital transformation and project management, Julia is dedicated to enhancing North Ayrshire's and Ayrshire's digital infrastructure and services, ensuring that communities have access to reliable and innovative connectivity solutions.

At Connected Britain 2025, The Future of UK Connectivity, Julia will share her insights on the Ayrshire 5GIR programme and the evolving ecosystem, as well as how the region is utilising its Digital Economy Framework and strong local ecosystem to support business innovations, unlock inclusive growth, and attract long-term investors. Her session will explore the role of local authorities in driving digital innovation, as well as the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Her focus is on the importance of place-based digital infrastructure and collaborative regional models to deliver scalable and sustainable transformation across sectors
