Gordon Mansfield is an accomplished, highly innovative thought leader currently responsible for AT&T’s Global Technology Planning strategy and wireless engineering. Gordon’s team is responsible for optimal planning and execution on AT&T’s fiber, wireless and shared capital spend to support network evolution, expansion and capacity. In addition, his team is responsible for engineering our wireless network and in-building systems.
Gordon has been at the forefront of key technology decisions to expand access to AT&T 5G and Fiber networks. As part of his efforts to expand 5G coverage and access, Gordon played a pivotal role in the successful deployment of C-Band spectrum in the AT&T 5G network partnering with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) over air safety concerns.
Gordon has a demonstrated track record of proven leadership, broad technology savvy, proactive stakeholder engagement, and application of business/technical insight globally. With broad experience in the communications industry, Gordon has held key leadership roles at AT&T, the Small Cell Forum, Siemens Communications and the United States Air Force.
Gordon holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology. He has 53 patents awarded to date.
He lives in Dallas with his wife Laura and has 2 sons, Zachary and Matthew and 2 stepchildren, Haylee and Garrett.
